10+ Things Founders Can & Can't Learn From Kardashians--Kylie Jenner

It’s interesting to see how people with the right foundation, environment can be a force for nothing but be geniuses in building legit money making machines. They are usually not smarter than a plastic surgeon, or a NASA scientist or hoping to  curing cancer. What they have mastered is playing the game of accessing the abundance, money, celebrity culture, and  the fucking media . What I mean is that they have been fortunate to be born into the right genes, good up-bring, good foundation, great understanding of how to create value, and even the ability to create bull shit value that others will gladly pay to be a part of.

Like a fucking strip club...some are artist and others pay artist to shake their ass. Some are builders and some are consumers. The point is that founders around the world can learn some shit from this family. Sometimes we all have to take lessons from those getting the cheese even if it’s not all sexy.

P.S. Kylie, girl, you are not 100% Self Made. You got access to some secret sauce and some great mentors. Mary Kay is fucking  self made. Oprah Winfrey is a self made billionaire. Martha Stewart is self made. You are however doing great for yourself.  Every founder, man, woman, parent and Founders Under 40 Group members could take some lessons from Kylie Jenner and the Kardashian clan.

If you keep playing within the rules you will never know if there’s a better way. There are rules in life but it seems successful people seem to play just on the boundaries of rules. Most are not breaking it unless they can face the very worst consequences.

Every founder of any shape and size must at least know how to get themselves or their organization into the media spotlight and make sure it helps them achieve an objective. The point is if you are media can reduce or avoid paying for advertisement.

The kardashians-Jenner clan seem to be very comfortable not being complacent and taking their popularity for granted. However like every celebrity that ages the brand may not be relevant to the next generation of consumers. Almost everyone might know James Franco but I bet you the high-schooler in your family or neighborhood has a f#%^& clue.

The point to life is working from nothing to significance. The kardashians know significance is what brings opportunities, love, hate, etc It’s what supports a larger than life lifestyle.  It’s what enables them to give generously to society. However I bet their lives are not all glamorous and filled with happiness. They have their dark days.

Fucking famous or powerful people and sharing sexual pics. As a founder this is going to cross your mind maybe while your raising funds or just trying to get attention. It’s all up to you what you do and what you are preparaed to do for your dreams.  Kim Kardashians's popularity started with her “innocent” "sex tape".

Never fucking take your support or fan base for granted. As a founder you need to find ways to stay engaged and on the minds of everyone who loves you and wish well to you. It's important to serve those who also serve you.

Get your team together. Your success and longevity depends on your ability to attract a good or great team mates. It depends on your ability to keep everyone focused on the bigger picture and minimize internal bullshit.

Be confident in your own skin. It’s your life so why not live your life the way you want. However what you have to also keep on your mind is that you are responsible for your life. You are responsible for your actions, words, flaws, etc. Be the fucking captain of your shit and your future and don’t weigh too much of the opinions of jealous mother fuckers or from people who have theories or assumptions or rumors.

Hangout with success. For you to keep attracting success you need to put out success, be around success, talk success, act success.  The thing I have realized about every successful person in life is that with great accomplishment is always an equal flaw that comes in many forms. The comedian Robin Williams comes to mind. Mr Williams flaw was his alcoholism and depression. So whatever flaws you have just make sure it doesn’t control you.

Leverage everything. You might be so open minded that you become so open to leverage whatever good or bad experience in your life. Rosanne might have said the wrong things which cost her job and impacted lives however she is going to use the incident to make more money. I heard she’s about to launch a talk show. Life is filled with lemons some people just find a way to make lemonade.

Work hard. Have you ever seen a lazy successful celebrity? Success and continuous success requires doing the leg work.  It’s a daily grind of work hard and play hard.

Don’t get caught up in your fame and success. The celebrity world is filled with people who rose fast to stardom only to find out they don’t have what it takes to handle celebrity life or got too complacent and forgot to stay relevant. The public could just forget the Kardashians just like we forgot the clans of the Jersey Shore. Who even remembers "The Situation".

[“Kylie Jenner rides fame all the way to the bank. The 20-year-old graces the cover of Forbes 4th annual list of America's Richest Self-Made Women.”]

[“ launched her own cosmetic brand called Kylie Cosmetics less than three years ago, and has since sold more than $630 million worth of makeup, according to Forbes. In 2017 alone, she sold an estimated $330 million.
Forbes valued the company at nearly $800 million, while Kylie rakes in another $100 million from endorsement deals and appearances on her family’s reality TV show.   “]

Multiple revenue streams because you are the business. The Kardashians-Jenner  clan make money from many complimentary offerings not just from their show, which is a primary income. All are all within the lines of giving women power to love themselves and live their lives. Maybe not in a mass appealing offering in fragrances, clothing, apps,  magazine engagement, social endorsement, appearances, rent-a-celebrity date, paid photos, advertisement, etc  they are milking the marketplace.

Don’t be afraid of failure. You don’t get to be significant, famous, wealthy, influential by playing everything safe. You are either creating your own opportunities or seeding opportunities to come to you. In the celebrity game good and bad publicity is good for business, to a certain point anyway.

Get a better mother or parents. Really you want a great mentor who is willing to raise your game, performance, big thinkers, detail oriented, etc. Kris Jenner  (Kim Kardashian’s Mother + Kylie Jenner's Mother) reportedly takes 10 percent of the family's earnings.  Your family can either make your more hell or can be your biggest support. So don't fuck around with a good family or with good friends.

[“It’s been proven over and over again that you can go directly to your audience without any filter in between,” Nanton says. “If you’re talented at that, you can clearly build quite a valuable empire.”]

Give back to the community. Your success is made possible due to others and not achieved 100% by your own effort. Jenner is celebrating her 20th birthday “ - - -by donating a portion of the proceeds from her cosmetic line to Teen Cancer America, a charity that works with hospitals to create youth-focused centers for teens and children undergoing treatment.”

Every mother must think like a Kris Jenner. The very moment mothers start thinking of motherhood or prior to having kids. You should start thinking your family is like a business. You have got to find ways to turn raising kids into a profit driven business not just an expense. What I mean is that mothers need to be resourceful, confident, fearless, nurturing, re inventive, growing, financial savvy, business savvy,  with or without a man.

Read her memoir: “Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian”

[“EVERYONE IS GIVING A BILLION DOLLAR CHEQUE AT BIRTH. YOU CAN ONLY CASH 99% WHEN YOU DIE.AND THE 1% MUST BE EARNED BY SERVING OTHERS.” - - Manny of Founders Under 40 Group (the unconventional founders community in the world.)]

Teach your kids about money, life and serving others. If not your kids make sure you teach yourself about money and life. Kim’s father made sure she had a job as a teen even when they were financially well off.
[“I worked at a clothing store for four years. I loved it. When I turned 16, my dad made me sign a contract — he made us sign contracts for everything — that if I hit my car, I would be responsible for paying for it. I was in bumper-to-bumper traffic, and I tapped someone. It was so not a big deal, but I had to pay for it. It was during the [Blanked]. trial. They saw my last name and said, "Kardashian, your dad's that lawyer?!" They sued me for a lot of money. After I paid them back, I kept on working to buy myself some clothes.”]

[“"My closet business came about when I was at my godparents' house, Sugar Ray Leonard and his wife Bernadette," Kardashian explained to Player Magazine in 2006. "Bernadette's closet was massive and had so much stuff in it. I said to her, 'You really need to clean out your closet.' Well, we spent the whole night doing that." Before she was a reality star, Kim was known as "The Queen of the Closet Scene.""Kim convinced Bernadette to sell the designer clothing on eBay rather than throw it away," explained Player magazine. "She was so successful at it that Bernadette started recommending Kim to her friends. Soon, celebrities like Kenny G, and Rob Lowe and his wife, started hiring her. Before long, Kim was organizing and cleaning out closets for everyone from Cindy Crawford to Serena Williams, as well as friends like Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie. Her clients jokingly tagged her with the moniker, 'Queen of the Closet Scene.'"]

[“Many are confused by her success. Likely, it stems from the perfect storm of a social media- and image-driven culture, globalization, and our fascination with things that are both attractive and relatable. But at the end of the day, Kim wants it all and doesn’t shy away from being a stakeholder. When asked whether she wanted to be known as a sex symbol or business woman, “or what?,” Kim refused to choose, stating she could be both. She is also a working mom, mogul, an immigrant’s daughter living the American dream, an Armenian-American ambassador, part of an interracial marriage, both a muse and an entrepreneur, and a powerful and influential woman. Kim promotes strength in femininity and doesn’t shy away from her feminine wiles. I get the feeling that she is aware of her limitations but focuses on her strengths, as well as the strengths of those around her. This makes her both a charismatic and endearing personality.”]

You need around you the people who have got the values you value. It’s really tough to work with others whose values are all incompatible with yours. So know what values is a must for any relationship and know which you can tolerate.  In addition, it’s helpful to have others compliment you. Are they making your life easier or way more unnecessarily complex? Do you know what exactly the other party brings to the table and what they can’t bring? Can they help you build credibility, etc.

Don’t be afraid to show emotion. Your expression could be very helpful in some situations and harmful in others. Just know when and where and who you let your emotions loose on. It’s really not healthy to keep some garbage buried in you. If you need to cry, punch a wall, flip a fucking table, etc do it without causing arm to others, properties or without being inappropriate.

When it comes to relationship. It is important to be comfortable in your skin and have a support group around just in case the relationship doesn’t work out. Know what you are getting yourself into before making any commitment. Do your homework. A good way assess people is to observe their lifestyle and priorities.

Life is not all flowers and roses. You are going to get tougher because as you pursue wealth, significance, there will be people trying to pop your bubble or bask in your success. They will be people scheming to use you for personal or business gain. Learn quickly how to read people. Don’t forget to smile and laugh during shitty times and awesome times.

Don’t be afraid to speak up. Never sit around why others are bullying you, or trying drag your name through mud. They are people who for some reason are born assholes or became bitter assholes and just want to see you miserable too  Defend your yourself without empowering the scums.
